A new 350-bedroom hotel at East India Docks – in close proximity to the ExCel Centre and right next to the CS3 Supercycle Highway – is being constructed by John Sisk & Son behind a traditional site hoarding solution from Panthera Group.

The new Travelodge has been designed to achieve a BREEAM ‘excellent’ rating which is facilitated by specifying a hoarding solution from Panthera’s construction site hoarding and secure temporary fencing division; a responsible supplier with full sourcing and certifying credentials, including FSC® and PEFC™ and Temporary Works compliance.

The installation team installed some 93m of 18mm in-ground hoarding in a white gloss finish. Two further elevations are now in progress including TVCB hoarding to the pit lane and on-ground hoarding to the remaining boundary and access gates.

As well as the site hoarding solution for this high-profile site, Panthera Group has supplied a SiteProtector™ Alert System – a video verified, wireless alarm system. Housed in suitably rugged casing, with an internal PR security camera,it captures a 10-second, full colour video clip when triggered. The unit is rapidly deployed and can be moved to new areas around the site if required. Images are sent to a monitoring station for action and verification. SiteProtector™ Alert is an ideal solution for temporary site protection.

For every project completed and as part of its own corporate social responsibility policy, Panthera Group participates in a scheme to plant new trees via partner ‘Trees for Cities’; the only UK charity working on an international scale to plant urban trees and create greener cities.
