Widely credited for bringing residential buildings to the Swiss Cottage area on a par with the rest of London, the Visage Building is a Barratt Homes development originally completed in 2007.
The 16-storey residential building, adjacent to Swiss Cottage station, contains 166 apartments and in 2020 a programme of improvement works was instigated to upgrade the building exterior. To secure the site Barratt London chose to use the most sustainable hoarding system on the market from Panthera Group.
EnviroHoard™ is an environmentally friendly, closed loop hoarding system made from 100% post industrial production uPVC that has been developed to help clients eliminate single use timber and plywood for site hoarding purposes.
The flexible hoarding at the Visage Building was attached to scaffold and on-ground and consisted of 104m of white panels, pedestrian and vehicle access doors.
As a responsible contractor, Barratt London is always keen to embrace products and services that are both sustainable and support BREEAM and CEEQUAL scoring whilst working towards Construction 2025. EnviroHoard™, due to its impeccable green credentials, is one such product and Panthera Group goes a step further by planting trees in urban areas, via partner Trees for Cities, and participates in carbon off-setting schemes that invest in re-forestation and alternative energy sources.
As well as winning the contract for the hoarding, Panthera Group also supplied a mains free scaffold alarm system with full monitoring capability.
