Panthera Group was delighted to be involved in the preparations of the 2012 London Olympics. One of the largest projects was the building of the Media Centre which housed the International Broadcasting Centre and the Main Press Centre (IBC/MPC). The building included creation of a catering village to serve over 20,000 broadcasters and journalists.
Measuring over 900,000 square feet and containing a multi-storey car park, it was necessary for our team to relocate vehicle and personnel gates around the compound as certain areas were completed. We provided literally miles of concrete block supported chain-link fencing to form boundaries and walkways through the site. Some areas required installation of our concrete block supported plywood hoarding, which was decorated in keeping with the Olympic Village.
Also included in this project were instructions to install a high specification office partitioning system with glazing and oak doors.
